Role Description
This is a locum on-site role based at Medics Clinic, Tse Addo, Accra. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, producing accurate diagnostic images, and supporting physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients.
Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, preparing detailed examination reports, ensuring quality control standards are met, and delivering compassionate, patient-centred care in line with Medics Clinic’s commitment to clinical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Valid registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge with proficiency in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
- Ability to accurately interpret ultrasound images and prepare comprehensive reports to support clinical decision-making.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment while adhering to quality assurance protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
